A huge house (415 m2), full of character and wooden beams, the Maison d'Artistes is one of 5 Domaine de Montagnac units that can be rented separately or together, offering a lot of flexibility. Renovated to a high standard, guests have use of the spectacular Grande Salle and the well-equipped Grande Cuisine - perfect for cooking and eating together - and the snooker/billiards/pool table on the mezzanine. Our 55 hectare private estate (with swimming pool) has views across to the Pyrenees.
The Maison d'Artistes is a HUGE house full of character, with a VAST sitting room (with chandelier) and an oak dining table suitable for 20 people, but with additional tables/chairs to seat as many as 60 people if needed.
With 4 bedrooms and 3 double sofabeds, the house's surface are is 415 square metres - HUGE by most peoples' standards!
The Ariege region is a beautiful rural corner of southwest France, and our private estate extends to 55 hectares all around the house.

The Domaine de Montagnac was previously a farm and riding centre, and comprises four separate houses around a main courtyard - all very atmospheric.
While the Maison d'Artistes is the most spectacular of our four houses, if you are looking for a holiday home or venue with 20 bedrooms why not book the whole domaine. Contact us for more details.
The Maison d'Artistes is our private holiday home. We ask that guests treat the house as if it were their own.
We do not charge for an occasional broken plate or glass, but will ask to be reimbursed for several broken plates/glasses and for stains or burns on the furniture and dining tables.
No smoking inside the houses, please.
Pets are welcome, so long as you clear up after them and reimburse us for any damage or stains.
Owners do not live at the domaine. Caretaker lives nearby and is available to answer any questions and to provide any assistance
British values (trust, integrity, honesty etc), but also a longterm Francophile (since 1976 when I met some of the most friendly people you can imagine while hitching near Pau)!
