Our get-away-from-it-all upstate home rests in a picturesque valley alongside the perfect stream. Surrounded by hundreds of acres of conservation land and farm fields, near Queechy Lake, Tanglewood, farm stands and orchards, and all of the natural and cultural pleasures of the Berkshires and Hudson Valley.
There's a feeling of simple well-being here - tapping into it has become an essential part of our life. It is a joy to spread out, relax and play at our well-maintained 6 acre park-like property. Ours is an ideal place for families with children to romp about, as well as being a wonderfully serene setting in which to enjoy cooking and savoring a bottle of wine on one of the porches. There are games, toys and DVDs plus Roku for indoor entertainment, and the kitchen is well stocked with high quality equipment - down to an ice shaver for making snow cones and a coffee grinder for your beans. The sights and sounds of many native birds and a year-round calendar of cultural and outdoor activities throughout the surrounding area make this a special retreat.

Weitere wichtige Infos
We are enthusiastic about sharing our home when it is available! When renting, we will not be on-site, so we hope that communications in advance with potential guests will help ensure a great experience all around!
Please do enjoy the flowers and any garden items that may be in season, and the gas BBR grill is stored in the walk out cellar.
Please help yourself to any supplies as needed - spices, pantry items, detergents, paper towels, etc - thank you for being courteous and replacing what's consumed if that's appropriate (eg. the craft glue gets completely used up!). Fyi for making coffee/tea, you'll find a Keurig machine, cone drip maker, french press and an electric water kettle.
Please - no smoking indoors or out.
Sorry we cannot invite pets due to allergies.
Please do not wear shoes indoors.
Please do not access the garage or attic.
Please leave things tidy and set up as found (eg. if using the beach towels, please launder and replace them in their cabinet at the end of your stay). The regular bed and bath linens are fine to leave in the hamper to be laundered after your visit.
A gentle reminder that this is our much-loved upstate home, not a "vacation rental", and our family enjoys it much of the year. We appreciate sharing with responsible guests who will enjoy and care for it as if it were their own. Thank you!
