Welcome to The Gnome Hatchery. Our 1940 home on 2 rural acres is made for families & groups who love the laid back vibe of the Sierra foothills. Relax under the stars in the hot tub, warm up by the outdoor fireplace, or roam the giant garden. Kids will love the treehouse, trampoline, swing, and ninja line. There’s no dishwasher, just simple, old-school charm (yes to internet!). Just 7 mins to Grass Valley, 10 to Nevada City, and 15 to the Yuba River. Airstream not included—please ask to rent!

Starting from two cargo containers, this home was built to be a seamless space to enjoy the outdoors without sacrificing any luxuries while you play. Designed to be an off-grid, sustainable home, this house features a movable glass wall, which opens the living room into the outdoors facing the setting sun. Beautiful native landscaping surrounds a basketball court and covered dining area. Indoors, natural light and a playful spark runs throughout with a second story hammock to enjoy it all!

Three Ponds

No cleaning fee! Private suite .Fish our ponds and enjoy 7 acres of serenity @ play our 9 hole discgolf! 5 minutes to downtown Grass Valley. One hour to the ski slopes of Lake Tahoe, 1 hour to Sacramento. Our house has been divided into two! We will be on one side of the house with a door separating us from the guest area. Guest area has separate entrance, it's own living room, kitchenette, 2 bedrooms and bathroom, laundry area. Pet friendly. If you have pet allergies don't be book.

Feather Landing

The Feather is a peaceful space for two located on a quiet, wooded road 1.3 miles from town. Luxuriate in deep sleep on the finest, king-sized, 18” mattress. In the fall and winter you will hear the great horned owls singing through the night. Enjoy simple meals, a cozy reading nook and a hot shower. As hosts we strive to be in harmony with the land. We use only natural, scent-free cleaners, organic cotton linens and organic coffee and teas.

Ranch Guest Suite

Peaceful, quiet and private guest house on 20 acres near the town of Penn Valley in Nevada County, California. Our place has a remote feel but is only 25 minutes from Grass Valley. This is the place to relax, be in nature and/or visit the nearby historic towns of Grass Valley, Nevada City, Ananda Village, the West Coast Falconry, and numerous wineries. Do note that this guest house does NOT have a kitchen, only a small frig and a microwave.
