The water is a little warmer on the Indian Ocean beaches of Glencairn and Fish Hoek compared to other beaches in the Atlantic side which makes it much for family friendly for swimming.

Excellent place to picnic under the oaks and kick a ball. Also handles the prevailing summer winds, the South East, quite well offering a few sheltered places to set up your picnic basket.
