Another favorite wild beach, you can walk for miles. One end is dog-friendly, the other protected. The shoreline, estero and wetlands here are a haven for bird watchers.

This is a safe beach for swimming (if you can brave the cold waters) and a great place to got for a beach hike. Low tide and full moon rise is spectacular here. Sometimes the beach is closed due to breeding elephant seals (check with the Park first). There's also a visitor center here open at the weekends and summer holidays.

Good place for wildflowers in spring and early summer, and wonderful place to watch seals and elephant seals (especially when they are breeding) . Great hike from here out to the point.

There's a fabulous hike to a brackish lagoon, with great sand dunes leading to the wild Pacific Ocean. Good place to spot otters, birds, coyotes, bobcats and deer. I've even seen badgers here.

A relatively flat trail with views of the Pacific ocean and Tomales Bay, with views along the top of the Peninsula. This is the place to see the Tule elk, as it is in the Tule Elk reserve.

Steep hike down to this beach. Great tide pooling at low tide around the corner. Dangerous surf though and not for swimming!
