Grovepark Inn is a super neat, historic place to see Asheville from the large balcony. Open to public. (With bars, shops, etc). National Gingerbread Competition is must see if one is in town for it.

EPIC!!! Extremely curvy drive from Asheville, Lake Lure has absolutely incredible scenery. Nice park with boat rentals. There's an old city under the lake! Dirty Dancing was filmed here...
