We love their $10-13 lunches when we go into Whitianga to stock up on supplies. Excellent, tasty, freshly cooked food and lovely, friendly. Generally just a smaller portion than the evening menu but more than enough for the price 😍 They can add extra chilli if you prefer things a bit spicy. My favourites ... Pad Kra Prow (P6) and Pad Khing (P4) ... and love them hot or Thai hot ❤️

Fabulous food! Their “French Grill” is my breakfast treat favourite. Quality ingredients all round. Awesome coffee and beautiful sweet treats, and if you can’t decide which one to have then why not take a one home for later too 😀 There’s a lovely little homeware/giftware area too.

Sightseeing

The Driving Creek Railway climbs 2.7km from the Base Station at 55 metres above sea level to EyeFull Tower at 167 metres above sea level, a total climb of 115 metres. With an average gradient of 1-in-24.1 (1 vertical metre for every 24.1 metre of length) the Driving Creek Railway is New Zealand’s steepest railway. Unlike most other tourist railways, this railway is newly built rather than being an old line that has been restored. It is New Zealand’s only narrow-gauge mountain railway. Also features a Wildlife Sanctuary & Sculpture Garden, Pottery & Craft Shop, and the brand new Coromandel Zipline Tours! Glide through the forest on this unique zipline canopy tour and experience Coromandel's breath-taking native forest from all levels, as you fly above the trees and walk beneath the ferns.
