If you use your credit card, keep a close eye on it. Don't allow merchant to temporarily have it out of your sight.
ATM machines charge hefty fees for foreign card holders and give the worst rates. Bring a fair amount in cash. I recommend $500 for every 2 weeks to be comfortable.
