Open after 5:00 for dinner Tuesday through Saturday. Closed Sunday and Monday. Though you might be able to walk in, I would recommend calling ahead @ (270) 575-3473. Located @ 112 Market Square, is very close to the house and other downtown establishments.

The Freight House owner was on Top Chief a few years ago and got second place. The shrimp and grits are a local popular dish. I like the Silver Fin which is an Asian Carp caught out of our local waters by commercial fishermen. Top shelf drinks can be 16$ a glass, so just be aware. The bar has a great bourbon selection. Top notch.

Kirchhoff’s is closed on Sunday and Monday, and the deli is open with a short window between 11:00 to 2:00.

In the old coke plant, there is a marvel of craft beer works for all beer drinkers. My favorite is the IPA called 37 Flood. Come and get a flight to help you find your beer of choice.

A very intimate match box theatre plays the movies of today and the past. It’s the only movie theater in town that will let you drink beer in the theater.
