Food scene

In the summer on Wednesday nights they often have music! You can also walk in and to wine tastings or buy a bottle and wander the grounds with a picnic that you bring - or buy the items from them.

Neighbourhoods

This historical town has become popular for mountain bikers as well as foodies... It has a young hip vibe but has tons of history to explore. Go to la Biblioteque tacos... or the Waverly pub for more basic food and music on the weekends often!

Okay, so this is just a place holder for the BEACHES you need to go to in the area... more details in the cottage; 1 - Bates Beach - a gravel/sand beach 5 min walk from the cottage 2- Seal Bay Beach - This 170 acre park has one edge on the water - only 10 min walk from the cottage.. do a loop that includes the beach and the forest and a bit of roadway 3- Kin Beach - a 10 min drive.. near the Powell River ferry 4 - Kye Bay - one of our faves! Sand for miles... beware a fast incoming tide.. a great place to picnic, build sandcastles, go fly a kite! 5 - LAZO point.. the outer tip at the foot of the airport - a rockier beach with great views down the Strait 6- Goose Spit - rounds its way into the Comox Bay - so faces Royston and Courtenay and is THE place to SUP, or watch KiteSurfers in action 7 - Slightly North of our location is Williams Beach - a quite, pebble/sand beach that has good tides which reveal lots of sand. A great bike ride away - note" there is a BIG hill" to challenge you on the way home!

City/town information

There is lots to see and do and taste in this wee town of Comox. Situated on the opposite side of the Comox Bay from Courtenay it has beautiful views of the water and mountains. Goose Spit, Filberg Grounds and the Comox Marina are worth the visit. Eateries such as the BlackFin pub, Church Street Brewery, Martines, Toscanos and Boonies pizza are just a few of the great places to grab lunch or dinner. Nourish has yoga (that's where I teach!!) and there is of course lots of services.

Courtenay faces Comox and is the first town you come to off the Inland Island Hwy. Full of services - groceries, coffee shops etc the town on 5th street offers loads of super cute shops full of gift items and treasures as well as high end clothing, nestled amongst the many eateries. Atlas is on 6th street and is delicious, Micheals on 4th has the traditional breakfast nailed and Hot Chocolate is our go to for coffee/muffins and yes... chocolate! Down the way off 17th is Locals... a higher end dining experience - can you say "special occasion'? :)

Stroll the marine walk way. Eat at the Roy's town pub (music and pizza.. a great combo) and just slightly South along the old island highway is the Kingfisher... a great place to stay (if you are not staying here!) or have dinner, lunch or book a spa treatment! Blissful!
