The southern end is patrolled during summer. Walk over to the rocks to swim in the ocean pools and search for starfish in the rock pools
The Northern end has Werri Beach lagoon popular with families with young children for swimming in shallower, calmer waters and a great place to drop in a line or go for a canoe.
It is also the start of the Gerringong to Kiama coastal walk and is occasionally open to the sea. Many a walker has been stuck on one side and has had to take off shoes and wade across !
Google whether it is safe to swim in the lagoon, especially after heavy rain
