This historic bar is a must see. It’s the hobbit-like vibes, live music weekly, and amazing food and drinks to boot. You don’t even have to worry about driving home—it’s about a 5 min walk from the Cottonwood Cottage’s front door.

Big Cottonwood Canyon is the scenic byway folks travel the world to come see. Home to Solitude and Brighton Ski Resorts, tens of world class hikes, mountain biking trails, climbing crags and more. There are trails suitable for all levels; I recommend checking AllTrails for specs and trail reviews to choose the best one for you. Big Cottonwood Canyon is also a watershed for city use. Unfortunately, no dogs are allowed in this canyon.
