This trail has a lot of bouldering, scrambling, and some inclines. It takes about 2-2.5 hours to complete and has beautiful views of Great Falls and the Potomac River. The B and C trails along with the towpath are more leisurely and less challenging.

Very close to U Street, with the nation's longest water fountain. On Sundays there's a drum circle that's great to watch. Other days you can sit on a bench and relax or lay out in the grass.
