A great place to swim and a nice all day bike trip, bring a picnic and follow the waterfront trail that will lead you with signs along the water and through old neighbourhoods, a great adventure for people who are accustomed to biking. Or just drive and enjoy the beach.

You'll have to contact the park beforehand to reserve a campfire pit and have a quick safety training session, bring your own wood (you can get some at a gas station or grocery store}. Sounds like a lot of effort but it's totally worth it.
