Out and about on the doorstep of Wheldrake.

Wheldrake is surrounded by flat countryside, with clusters of trees lakes and ponds dotted around the landscape. There is a fishing lake within the village and plenty just outside. My favourite lakes are at Pool Bank Farm 1.5 miles away. It has recently opened up and promotes health and wellbeing, offering: Wellness days, lake swimming, SUPS . The lack of light pollution in the village allows for star gazing on clear nights and views of amazing sun rises /sets which can be viewed from the bungerlow and garden areas. St Helens Church dates back to the 1700.The water tower in Wheldrake is a trigpoint TP17587 and land mark within the village it can be seen towering above Cozy corner. Wheldrake- ings, wet lands is about 15 to 20 minutes walk from Cozy Corner. Wheldrake woods is about 25 minutes walk, alternative you can cycle (10 minutes)or travel by car (3 minute). Swallow Hall Golf course can also be access from the woods or is a 5 minutes drive by car.
