A finer dining experience in the heart of downtown Bend. I recommend getting there for Happy Hour and starting with oysters and rose on the patio!

There are A LOT of breweries in Bend, but in my humble opinion, Crux is simply the best. Bonus - go during sunset for a view of the cascade mountain range and while you sip your brew.

ATTN River Floaters : this is your entry point for drifting down the Deschutes on your floatation vessel of choice. Kayak, air mattress, inner tube, flamingo... just wear the sunscreen. Other tips: wear sandals that stay on your feet, bring beverages in reusable bottles (no single use cans or glass), wear a hat, put keys in waterproof pouch and leave all other valuables in the car. Oh, have fun!

Sightseeing
One of Oregon's Natural Wonders. Rock climbers come from around the world to climb Smith, but it's also perfect for the casual to adventurous hiker. Hike Misery Ridge for the best views in Central Oregon (make sure to pack lots of water, snacks and a good pair of treaded shoes - this hike earns its name), or keep it chill along the river trail.

I love the river trail because you can jump on it from several locations in town. Start at the River Wave Park, the Old Mill, or Farewell Bend Park and head upstream on the Deschutes River for a peaceful walk in nature.

The most beautiful drive that's only accessible spring-fall. Pack a lunch, hiking shoes and your swimsuit and pull off at any one of the beautiful lakes between Bend and Cultus Lake!
