JTNP is known for its numerous hiking trails, desert views, wild life, cotton candy sunsets, and miles upon miles of Joshua Tree forests. You are guaranteed to see something new and exciting every time you visit. A few popular hikes to check out are the Hall of Horrors, Arch Rock and Keys View.

Fortynine Palms Oasis Trailhead provides access to Fortynine Palms Oasis on a three mile out and back hike which is only open in the fall, winter and spring. This trailhead is in a northern section of the park seperate from the rest of the park roads and is accessed by Canyon Road off of Highway 62 between Indian Cove and Twentynine Palms. You may see some big horn sheep who are known to travel up to the oasis for water.
