I cannot say enough about how absolutely beautiful Sintra really is. There is so much to see in this little village located just north of Cascais. There is the famous Pena Palace, but that is probably just the most recognized, there is also an old Moor ruin, a botanical garden, a number of parks, Quinta da Regaleira and just so much more. It is a must see and I would recommend at least one full day to get the most out of the experience.
