Food Scene

Wahoo's is special because the Bermudian-inspired food is fresh and excellent! And the All-Bermudian chefs and wait staff are friendly and attentive. The ambiance out back is set on the waterside, and out front is perfect for people-watching. Some nights you may find a local artist playing live music, and the bar in the front is usually a ively night spot where locals and tourists hang out to laugh and shoot the breeze.

Oh my goodness! Home baking like you remember from home! Yummy house made treats piled high with real icing sugar icing. The huge ooey, gooey cinnamon sticky buns are a real hit. Keeps erratic hours but if you get lucky you won't be disappointed.

The award winning fried fish sandwich sold at this location is worth the adventure in finding it. Located in the "Back of Town" this local hotspot designed a mile high sandwich that it takes two hands to hold. Try it on raisin bread or with coleslaw on top for a decadent yet delicious Bermuda treat. Not local fish but good quality frozen snapper. You can get a half order of fries to go with that and wash it down with a Barrits Stone Ginger Beer. While you wait, whet your appetite with some of their homemade tropical sherbet. A gustatory delight!

The easiest way to see the Island, especially if your time here is limited, visit a tour center and sign up for a guided tour. Relax and leave the planning and the driving to your capable tour guides. Can seem pricey, but at the end of the day if you add up transportation costs, the value of your time in planning and the fact that you want to go home with stories of your adventures, it can be well worth the cost.

This is a wonderful calm place to swim and a great way to see how the locals spend their leisure time. The beach is safe without any currents, and there is a lifeguard on duty during the summer months. The name derives from the regular sightings of turtles swimming in this secluded bay. Grab a quick meal next door at Gombey's Restaurant, which also rents paddle boats and other water sports toys. Gombey's also boasts a full bar and evenings there is music and dancing.
