Beautiful Place in the Heart of Sisters, Oregon
Food & Cocktail Scene
All places listed here, with the exception of Black Butte Ranch, are within walking distance from my home. If you walk, you will stroll past shops, an independent bookstore, dining and cocktail establishments, coffee houses, food carts and a lot more. Driving is fine too!
This is my favorite place to eat lunch and dinner in town. They have great salads, entrees, service and ambiance. Plus it is very close to my place, about four blocks walking distance. Some of the indoor tables are in the art gallery and the outdoor patio has outdoors games, a stage for entertainment, and fire pits. Best to make a reservation because they can get busy. [541 549-6076]. Also best to check to be sure they are open as they sometimes close for special events.

A large rustic building just a few blocks from my place where lots of people go to hang out to drink coffee. They have a great reputation for the coffee they make way beyond Sisters. So if you want, buy a bag or two while you are there and give them as gifts.

This is a very good place for both breakfast and lunch, in a converted old and cool house with outdoor seating as well. It is not your greasy spoon sort of breakfast. Far more interesting offerings! However they do not take reservations, or at least not right now [2018], so you may have to wait a bit and cruise around town while you do.

These trails are where I go to hike locally. They are very well-maintained, offer peace and quiet, and are very well mapped. I will leave guests a map!

Whenever you can, avoid Ray's Food Place! Ray's prices are notoriously higher and their produce is often past their prime! But pay attention to Bi-Mart's hours, because they do close earlier than Ray's.
