Follow this street from end to end for a trip through time. Starting with the newly opened cocktail bar called MacGregors which has an entrance on Academy street. Then walk further up to see some historic buildings opposite the Old High Church which is the oldest in the city. Walk the grounds or peek inside The church then look for the bullet holes in the wall fired after the Battle of Culloden almost 300 years ago. Further up you’ll find the fabulous Black Isle Bar for pizza & beer or the entrance to the historic Victorian Market Arcade for a different kind of shopping experience. Finally exit Church street at the top where it joins Bridge Street and you will find Inverness Castle & museum towering overhead. The newly opened castle viewing tower offers panoramas over the city in all weathers.
