A day in the Delta

Tigre and the Delta is a must for any visitor to Buenos Aires. Get the train from Mitre in Olivos to Tigre and check out the market. Then stroll along the river to the Museo de Arte, which is stunning. Lunch at the María Lujan restaurant won't disappoint.

Neighborhoods

Not so far from the house and a great place for a night out. Get dressed up, leave late, eat at a parilla around 10pm and then check out the bars and clubs!

This is THE place for a delicious meal by the river. Relatively expensive by local standards. Sottovoce is my favourite. Alternatively, stroll along the river and just take in the views.

I took my guidebook picture here. It's basically graffiti on a wall! This is a fantastic place to see live tango in the Plaza Dorrego. The bars are nice around the plaza and Cafe Poesia nearby is great for a picada. For an evening meal try Cafe Rivas. La Brigada is also a great restaurant, an institution, but quite expensive. The best day to go is Sunday, when the market in Plaza Dorrego is on. Or go Saturday night and one of the bars on the corner is open 24 hours,so just stay out!
