Ones upon a time in Rovinj!
It all started in Rovinj in 1972 when Corrado Pellizzer opened the doors of his first fish restaurant "Giannino". In fact, the son of a fisherman, Corrado decided to create and serve his knowledge of the sea in the full taste of the sea and the memories of his childhood.
Corrado Pellizer is credited with a long tradition. The deft hands and spirit of the last among the best chefs of his generation still do it somehow simply and passionately.
Together with his sons Giovanni and Nere, he runs two other facilities alongside Gianna, the indescribably beautiful and romantic Puntulina, and the newly renovated historic Rio bar.
A tradition of over three decades!
Today, the restaurant "Giannino" is known as the capital of fresh (prepared) fish whose offer depends solely on the catch of fishermen. A preparation that is a blend of climate, tradition, passion and quality. Respecting tradition, but following gastronomic trends, here you can enjoy raw fish and other seafood delicacies. Above all, we should single out the award-winning "brodetto alla Rovignese" with which the always smiling Corrado will tell you "storie della vita".
