Grocery Store
We are so lucky, this store opened about a quarter-mile from the house. Detweiler's was voted the best grocery store in Sarasota. They have local Organic, fresh produce and Fruits. I also grab my honey here and if you're a meat-eater they have quite the butcher block. I highly recommend this place.

This is one of our favorite gotos for Sushi. They have a great atmosphere, personable staff, fair priced, excellent Sushi. A couple of our favorites are the Fruitville roll and the Sexy Man (LOL) really, the girlfriends favorite.

This is not your typical hardware store. These guys have everything from nuts and bolts to bicycles and yeti coolers. They're located next to Detweiler's market about a 1/4 mile from the house. I believe there are six locations around town. These guys will do almost anything to help with whatever you need. Remember Ace is the Place of the Friendly Hardware Man.

Iconic 5'0 Club, boy if those walls could talk. I moved to Sarasota in 1980. This place has not changed, it changed owners but they have respectively pretty much left it untouched, gracias! This has been a go-to place for me to hear the best local live music around. Sarasota's finest grace this stage. They do not server food, just stiff drinks so you need to eat before or after. You're sure to have a great time.
