Mount Washington has the best views of Pittsburgh, great restaurant and bar scene, hiking and all the conveniences of a neighborhood. If you're okay with hills this area is very walkable, especially along Grandview Ave which runs along the Monongahela River and offers some the best urban views in the US. For restaurants and nightlife head to Shiloh St. We recommend The Summit for delicious cocktails and small plates. If you're looking for fried zucchini and wings Redbeard's and Bingham Tavern are great. And for those looking for a *very* Pittsburgh experience, Sloppy Joe's has a great bar scene.

There are so many places to visit in the Strip District! Wholey's seafood market and Pennsylvania Macaroni Co. are musts, even if you just want to browse. For dinner we recommend DiAnoia's Eatery and Gaucho Parrilla Argentina.

A beautiful trail that spans across Mount Washington and nearby neighborhoods. My favorite stretch starts at Augusta St and Grandview Ave (about 10-15 min walk from our house) and loops around the mountain.

You can always find parking on Mount Washington but please remember to tuck in your street side mirrors, and don't be afraid to park partially on the sidewalk if you're driving a larger vehicle.
