Lovely little wine bar welling great wine. They do a really good lunch deal sometimes. Glass of wine and a salad or sandwich for £5! Great for pre-dinner drinks.

We really love the food there! Their Pie dishes are yummy. You can usually get a table as a walk-in.

Lovely place by the river. If you have a car would particularly recommend a wee lunch or brunch down here on a sunny day so you can sit out on their extensive deck and catch some rays.

Amazing French Carribean food on Dalry Road. You pass it on the number 44 bus. Decor is not the most stylish, however food is fabulous. It's also a BYOB and their is an off licence a couple of doors away so reasonable night out.

You can play old fashioned skittles here! Brilliant fun. Great for a Sunday Lunch. Very popular so if you want to play skittles book in advance. Lovely little outside area

Gorgeous walks, particularly around us. Colinton Dell is worth a visit. The Visitors Centre has maps of the different walks you can do. You can walk right down to Leith on the water of Leith. Though it is about 12 miles!

24 Lanark RdGorgeous walks, particularly around us. Colinton Dell is worth a visit. The Visitors Centre has maps of the different walks you can do. You can walk right down to Leith on the water of Leith. Though it is about 12 miles!
Beautiful garden in Duddingston well worth a visit for a wonder and if you after some quiet complilation. It is in the grounds of the church yard and looks right over Duddingston Loch

More than shopping but amazing shopping! Do you remember The Pier? Like that but more upmarket and just more! Sells clothes as well. Nice little cafe, though very busy in holidays and at weekends. Children's Play Centre Castle is huge and brilliantly designed. We have take friend's children and they have loved it. Lovely walks around the estate Basically somethig for everyone and well worth a visit if you want some time out of the city.

If you love shopping in independent shops Bruntsfield is the place for you. You can get to Bruntsfield from here on the number 45 bus which runs half hourly during the week. Lots of lovely eateries and gorgeous gift shops and antique shops
