Here is a list of our preferred restaurants. We are locals here in Catania and run our BnB Terrazza Sveva. What we do is to select in person the best restaurants of Catania for our guests. We love food and wine, so it's an easy task we enjoy doing :-D
Traditional place very near the house, may look a bizarre location but fish is great. Limited wine selection. Worth a visit if you want to know about Sicilian traditional cuisine and eat fresh fish.

Fourmet hamburgers made with local high quality ingredients. Cozy, and may not accept reservations on Saturday. Often there is a waiting list. Price level ($$), but very costly if you are used to prices fast food in US. However it's high quality.

Here at night you'll find plenty of folks drinking inside and outside this place. Especially suited for younger folks but you can find older people drinking there as well. You can have wine and cocktails here. The wines are natural wines, kinda of mixed quality. Cocktails are better. The situation and the atmosphere is wonderful, worth a visit. Oh, you can eat there as well, local food in small dishes.

Very nice pub, only space outside, thy only have drinks, not food. It's very very near to the Ursino Castle. This place has a very nice "mood".

This is the only UNESCO protected area in Catania, a street that is both beautiful and dense of historical interest. Notably in the street there are several baroque churches of interest.
