Visit cloisters, highly recommend walking tours at cloisters. Visit, Heather Garden, walk alongside the river, great view. If you are visiting in end of September to beginning of October, you can come dressed up for Medieval festival!

Nice place to walk and chat. Stop for ice cream or cold drinks. It gets pretty crowded during summer.

Restaurants & Bars

This place is pretty awesome. It looks like an ice cream shop from the outside but opens til 3 AM! It's actually a speakeasy. There is a door made of ice cream pints.

Museums

Find out how much you weigh in moon. Watch a short clip about space (it's okay if you didn't understand everything at first time). Space show is extra cost but totally worth it.

Washington Heights

My favorite places in walking distance from home
Hudson Greenway stretches from top of Manhattan to all the way down. This path by the river is perfect for cycling, running, jogging, walking, sitting around, BBQing, or just standing around. The cover photo is taken from here. Most part of the park has lounge areas, tennis court, play ground, tables and benches, grass to sit on or walk on, and my favorite part is that it's away from the traffic. The closest entrance from my place is 158th Street.

Nice place to walk around on a sunny day. I heard this is the oldest mansion in NYC. If I'm wrong, please do let me know. Jazz band plays on every Sunday indoor during the winter and outdoor on the lawn during summer. They've got a gift shop to entertain visitors too!

I love the vibe. It's a cozy little place to read or work on stuff on laptop. Most importantly, they have good coffee and pastry 😋

Subway is the way to get around!

NYC Subway made no sense to me at first but once you know the drill, you'll be writing this guide book in no time! Metro cards can be purchased at the station. I highly recommend that you get an app, Gmap or any MTA transit map. 1. Express trains: A, D, Q, N, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 2. Local trains: C, E, B, R, W, 1, 6, L, S, 7 3. Trains traveling westside: A, B, C, D, E, 1, 2, 3 4. Trains traveling east to center: 4, 5, 6, Q, R, W, N, F 5. Trains that cross towns: 7, L, S * Note: On weekends, express train may run local.* **In some stations, differen trains stop at same platform**
