This Pub is Canada's only floating pub - you have to take the Dinghy Dock Ferry from Nanaimo Harbour across to the Pub on Protection Island (10 minute trip) and enjoy a meal and then take the ferry back home.
Check when it opens in the Spring - mid March.

Try the Tea of the day and look at the beautiful pottery created by Margit Newmann. Garden in the summer is gorgeous. In the winter - sit inside by the cozy woodstove.
all their treats are made with tea... sweet and savory.
This is a perfect place to go solo - take a book or a journal and spend an hour or two.
My favourite tea is Black Lavendar.

This is a beautiful park with walking trails - 35 minutes from Century Kee - the Bowen Park Complex is in the middle of this park. In the Spring this park has so many rhododendrons in bloom. There is also a river running through the park.
