The second closet beach to our house, it's less than a 10 minute walk to the water from your front door. The closer one has no name and is much smaller

Make sure you drag your feet through the sand, you'll find dozens of sand dollars!

Renting a car or Jeep is the ideal way to see the island
The island is 65 miles long, with no public transit and nearly no sidewalks or streetlights. Everything is spread out so while you can have a great time walking within a 30 minute radius of our place, you need a vehicle to see everything
