It's hard to categorize this place, because it's neither a restaurant or a bar, but something in between. They serve great lunch and dinners. In the evening on Friday's and Saturdays live music might play. Book ahead in the winter. In the summer the open courtyard is always open and tables can't be reserved, so go and take your chance.

This little place has authentic Italian staff and a wood clay oven. This is one of the best pizza places in Copenhagen and located only 500 meters from our apartment. There is an italian restaurant located next to this pizza place. I haven't tried the restaurant myself but it looks cosy and family friendly

This little coffee bar serves great coffee and this is my favourite coffee to go place. On weekdays between 0800 and 1000 they serve a light breakfast. Good value for money.

This is a hidden gem on Amager and you wouldn't stumble across this little place by chance. But do take the detour. Choose 5 dishes from a 25 dish menu - I recommend the Waffel with honey butter. If you come by metro it's not far from Lergravsparken metro stop. You can't book a table, but if the place is full you can wait outside and they'll call your name when they have a seat.

I don't exaggerate when saying this is the best ice cream in town. They claim to have the largest Ice Cream desk in Denmark. Don't worry about a long line. They've got their logistics and staffing in order and you wont have to wait for long.

This is actually just a wine cellar that happens to have a free Saturday tasting (12-17). Most of their wines are sold to the top gourmet restuarants in Copenhagen, including Noma.
They only serve nature wines with no sulfites. You might be in for a surprise, but you might also taste the best wine you've ever had. You have to walk under Knippelsbro (the bridge) in order to find this hidden gem. Best of all the tasting is free.

This little place is a little gem on Islands Brygge. It's a nice hangout for a glas of wine and a little tapas on the side. It's 4 km away from the apartment, but can be reached easily by taking bus 5C towards Husum Torv. Get off at the stop called Klaksvigsgade and walk 550 meters.

This is actualy the best feature of our apartment. Go for a stroll, a jog or a bike ride and enjoy the beach. If you can go in the evening and enjoy the sunset. Don't worry about safety. There are plenty of people and lots of families with kids.
To the northern side of Amager Strand you'll find a few restaurants, a grocery store and a cofee shop. On the southern side you'll find Kajakhotellet, where you can rent Sea kayaks. Also recommended as a separate listing.

If you're looking for an upscale supermarket this is the place. Irma has a wide selection of organic products, high quality meat and the friendliest staff. It's pricier than your regular discount supermarket, but if you want quality you also have to pay :)

This is the supermarket located closest to our apartment. It's dirt cheap, and great when you need your basics covered: Milk, coffee, pasta and so on. If you want discount but with a little more interesting selection you should go to Rema 1000 or Netto also described in this guidebook.

This is a fantastic playground for your kids. You'll find activities for all ages from 9 months. A part of the playground is a building ground, so it changes all the time (but still with safety requirements) and staffed. Last time I was there they had a rope way and a huge slide for the kids, but be aware that this playground changes all the time. An absolutely amazing little children clothes shop The owner designs and makes about half of the clothes being sold in the shop and the other half is designer clothes for kids. It's a little pricey, but her stuff is really cute!
