Beautiful beach

On a beautiful day, there's nowhere quite like it, the views are amazing? Just be sure to check the local tide times. The cost of parking can be a little pricey, but you will have use of our Putsborough beach car park pass for the duration of your stay so parking here will be free for you. There is a beach shop/cafe run by Tony and his team where you can buy anything from breakfast/lunch/dinner, ice creams, drinks, buckets and spades, bat and ball, surf boards plus so much more. There are also toilets located in the car park. Dogs are allowed everywhere on Putsborough apart from the far left hand side (below the shop area) between Easter and November 1st. If going during the busiest times be sure to head down there as early as you can in the day to avoid the traffic, as our lanes are very narrow and getting to and from the beach can become very busy.

Food scene

We have some wonderful pubs in the village. You get a lovely warm welcome from Dan and the team, and the food is good. It has a great atmosphere and is also dog friendly. If you like eating out, this is a great place to go. Bookings advised, especially during peak times and this can be done online, ahead of your reservation to save disappointment.

A fun day for all the family

This is a really good fun day out with the kids.......big and small! You pay on entry and then all the rides are free. They have dodgems, roller coasters one for the big kids and a caterpillar for the the smaller ones, large slides, bird of prey centre, massive outdoor bouncing fun, lots of indoor and outdoor fun for the whole family. There are lots of seating areas dotted about all over the grounds if you want to take your own lunch or there is a cafe serving hot and cold food and drinks. Bookings only under the current situation and face coverings are advised.

This is a nice place to visit during your stay. Ilfracombe high street has lots of mainstream shops, but down in the harbour area, there are loads of quirky little trinket shops that you can get lost in for hours. You can get boat trips and sea safaris from the harbour, although bookings are advised beforehand. You may even see seals and/or dolphins?! You will also find amusement arcades for the whole family and pitch and putt/crazy golf for fun. There are lots of places where you can eat in or out, serving traditional fish and chips amongst other things. Verity, a stainless steal and bronze 66.4ft tall statue stands on the pier. It was created by the well known artist Damien Hirst in 2012 and has been loaned to the town for 20years. Down the front near the Landmark Theatre, there is often an award winning West Country Hockings ice cream van parked offering wonderful 99's and more. Try it, they're delicious!
