My go to!!! Do yourself a favor and visit this area and explore the trails. They are short and non strenuous but provide amazing views! Best place for sunsets and stargazing around! Just north on the parkway. Less than 10 minutes away.

A must see if you like history! This cabin and homestead has been preserved and is right off the parkway. See how the folks lived in the area in the late 1800s. 15 minutes away.

This is one of the best hikes in the area! It’s a full day event though. You’ll hike past remnants of old homesteads and beautiful waterfalls and swimming holes. When you come to the end you’ll reach a preserved cabin... “Caudill Cabin”. My house is actually on land that use to be owned by the Caudill’s. The Caudill’s are still the predominant family on Bluebird Lane. 20 minutes away.
