Calle Fiubera and Mercerie are a good stop on your way to San Marco.

The museum usually hosts exhibition of photography. The building is wonderful and is best seen from the other side of the canal of Giudecca. The name of the house is ‘tre oci’ which means three eyes, you will understand why the building got this name once you’ll see it!

The island of San Servolo now hosts the Venice University but in the past it was the island hosting the hospital for mental illness. Now a Museum is dedicated to the history of how mental illness was treated and how an Italian doctor call Basaglia fighted for the rights of people with mental illness to be treated without costriction and not to be restrained in hospitals
