Wonderful small grocery store with things source mainly from local farms including meats, dairy, produce. It also has a lot of other organic and health food store type items. Though a bit pricey, we buy most of our groceries from the Root Seller and then go to Shaw's for whatever we can't find here.

While we prefer the beer at Rek’-lis in Bethlehem, Schilling in Littleton, or Iron Furnace in Franconia, the Copper Pig makes delicious fresh beer and is close by and has a very cozy atmosphere with river views and also a nice variety of pub food options to eat.

Our favorite beer in the area and the food is also very good -- tons of outdoor eating options and stylishly decorated interiors. But the beer here is superior in our opinion -- especially the hazy New England IPAs!

A bit more than just your standard diner food. We really like Grandma's and go often -- especially if you can get a table in the screened porch during the summer. Very nice and friendly staff!

Sightseeing
Gorgeous quiet pond for swimming, fishing, and even water skiing in the summer and skating or ice fishing in the winter. Martin Meadow Pond is a beautiful destination for a walk from Los Arboles and there is a public access point on Martin Meadow Pond Road less than a mile away.

Perfect hike for a family with 360 views including Mount Washington at the top and a nice spot for a picnic. This is our most frequent hike because it is not too difficult but has a great payoff at the end.

We especially recommend Bretton Woods if you are new to skiing because they have a great beginner hill and/or if it is very cold and windy as Bretton Woods is in a valley that tends to get less wind and feel less cold than other mountains like Cannon.
