A nice change of pace, especially for vegetarians, Royal India Grill offers authentic Indian cuisine, rich in taste and flavor. The Thursday night buffet is a great deal and nice way to try various Indian dishes. Every dish at Royal India is prepared according to thousand year old recipes and offered in mild, medium, or hot options. They even offer a gluten free menu.

A favorite among locals and Colgate students, "Slices" as it's known, often has a line out the door. Very good, authentic New York pizza. We suggest you order and pickup and, just so you know, pizza by the slice is only available with cheese, no toppings!

Great coffee and pastries and a nice sitting area. Great place to bring a laptop and work or bring a friend for a quiet chat. Their fresh-roasted coffee beans are specialty-graded, fairly traded, traceable to the farm/co-op level.

Best bagels in Hamilton! A local favorite. Flour & Salt is often busy and crowded so we tend to order online, pickup, and bring back to eat at the house.

The only grocery store a mile outside of town is well-stocked with pretty much anything you'll need. In the summer, they sell local and semi-local fruits and vegetables.

Located next door to Price Chopper just outside of town, this smallish wine store has a nice selection of wines and spirits, including a wide range of wines and spirits from upstate New York.

Recently named one of the friendliest towns in America by Forbes magazine, located in the very heart of Central New York in the historic Chenango Valley, Hamilton offers a picturesque setting and an abundance of local charm.
A vibrant and quaint downtown area surrounds the Village Green with casual dining restaurants, cafes, specialty shops, movie theater, performing arts center, a natural health food store, Madison County’s first micro-brewery, a yoga/pilates studio, the historic Colgate Inn and the Colgate University Bookstore.
Recreation abounds in the area including approximately nine miles of Village-maintained trails along the former Ontario and Western Railroad right-of-way and the original Chenango Canal towpath. The Village also supports the Seven Oaks Golf Course, an award-winning Robert Trent Jones course, hiking trails, waterways and breathtaking cycling and running routes.
