You can spend New Year's Eve there and there will be a really good party atmosphere.

Situated right on the beach, the restaurant has a fantastic atmosphere and the food is very tasty and well priced. Fantastic service too.

One of the best restaurants in the area. It is usually super busy, so early booking is recommended. Great Spanish paella, grilled fish, amazing deserts and lots of wine.

City/town information
Nerja has a long history, evidenced by the primitive paintings found in its famous Balcón of Europa and Nerja caves, discovered in 1959. These caves are now believed to be just one entrance to a linked series of sinkholes stretching many miles into the mountains between Nerja and Granada, and which may yet prove to be one of the most extensive unexplored systems in Europe. Visitors to the caves will be able to view the remains of one of the ancient inhabitants of Nerja. Must see if you are in the area!

It is well worth a visit for the historic 19th-century Trinity Lighthouse, the old chapel of Nuestra Señora de Europa (the Shrine of our Lady of Europe), the impressive Mosque of The Custodian of the Holy Mosques, Gibraltar Museum, St. Michael's Cave, as well as Forbes' Quarry, where one of the world's first female Neanderthal skulls was found in 1848.

The famous Nerja Caves are found in Maro, a district of Nerja (Málaga). They were discovered in 1959 by a group of young locals who were on a late-night walk searching for bats. In the Nerja Caves, you and your family will enjoy a 45-minute excursion of one of the most important caves in the World.
The normal opening hours are from 9am till 3:30pm. A free visit, from Monday to Friday at 9:30 a.m. fror members of the European Union.

A very nice place where you can rent a boat trip for a day, enjoy diving and have a wonderful dinner at the harbour.

A fantastic local Spanish school. Great if you would like your kids to learn a different language. The teachers are natives so they teach you the most authentic Spanish. They are very friendly and a good value for money.

Our local private pool and restaurant garden is a great place to spend the day relaxing and sun bathing!
It is open Tuesday to Sunday and we usually have a summer pass for it. Lovely Sunday roast and paella all day long!

Getting Around
Malaga Bus station is situated centrally and has very good connections with other means of transportation.
The Bus Station is conveniently located next to the Malaga railway station and there is as well a Bus service to Malaga Airport.
You can take an ALSA bus directly to La Herradura from there. Quick and easy.
