You can also bring your own kayak to paddle along the water with. A permit is usually required please see Folkestone and Hythe district council website.

If you venture down to West Hythe you can take a walk along the rear of Port Lympne wildlife park and spot numerous wild animals. You can even stop for a drink at Unit 1 a local micro brewery.
