I think this is the best coffee in town. Food is not as good as fixed but the prices are more reasonable. It's located at the base of signal hill and the battery, two good walk options for you and your coffee.

One of the best restaurants in the country actually. It's a really wonderful dining experience if you're into that. I would say expect to pay $300-$400 for a couple. There are plenty of amazing restaurants in St. John's if that's too expensive so fear not. They also have a bar too where you can get anything from the restaurant if you're not into the whole dining thing.

Vegetarian. Great place, small menu. I think it's only open during meal times and it can take a while sometimes but if you're not in a rush it's pretty sweet, as is the older gentleman who owns it.

Wonderful place to eat, another institution. It's a curry platter, basically the same plate in small or large, meat or veg. Great place for early diner, I think they close at 7.
