Historic Boonville, MO is just up the road about 20 min drive, it has a great historic old downtown and is on the Lewis and Clark trail! Boonville has MANY old historic homes that have been renovated and several cute shops and antique stores as well!

Jefferson City, the state capital of Missouri is located just about a 35 min drive through some beautiful rolling hills and countryside. Be sure to visit the capital building and see the beautiful fountains, murals inside the capital, and the restored train depot, all within walking distance of the historic old downtown! Also another great photo op at the governors gardens located just across the street from the capital building!

Also another great photo op at the governors gardens located just across the street from the capital building!
Just minutes from Columbia, Rock Bridge Memorial State Park gives visitors the chance to scramble, hike and bicycle through a scenic environment – and lets them peek into Missouri’s underworld. The park contains some of the most popular hiking trails in the state and also offers solitude while hiking in the Gans Creek Wild Area. Visitors can also see a large cave system with its rock bridge, sinkholes, a spring and underground stream at the Devil's Icebox. You can explore Connor's Cave in the light of the opening for a taste of the underground world.

Just up the road from our bnbs you can see where the Budweiser Clydesdales are housed and cared for as well as the new babies being born and raised as the next generation!! This is a must see!!

The historic MKT Trail was an old railroad line that has been converted into a bike trail. Following the Missouri River the trail offers many great views and scenic looks. Located just up the road in Rocheport there is an access to the trail as well as the old railroad tunnel which the trail passes through. Another favorite photo spot, and just down the road from the winery! Bring along your bikes and go for a ride or just hit the trail for a peaceful walk, either way you’ll love this spot!

This area is very close to Rock Bridge. If you are looking for a moderately hiking area, you have found it.
Hiking this area in the fall is a must, if you like fall color. There are plenty of maples and hickories with the bright yellow fall color.
The trailed can be a bit difficult to follow. Please grab a map and bring plenty of water.
