EC Manning Provincial Park Resort is just a 35 minute drive from Big Rock and is our favorite place to Hike, Kayak and Ski. Check out the old growth forest in Sumallo Grove, the serene lightning lakes or the amazing view from the cascade lookout. In the winter there is downhill and cross country skiing with a fun tube park at the bottom. I suggest downloading the ALLTRAILS app (free) to select a walk or hike that is suited for you.

Our favorite swimming lake

Kawkawa Lake is located 15 minutes down the hill in Hope and is one of our favorite places to go when the weather is hot. It has a boat launch and a great sandy beach and playground for the kids. During certain times of the year the shallow waters are filled with frogs and tadpoles. Our sons always had a wonderful time catching them
