Great active day out
The Dart Country Park is an amazing day out for the whole family. Something for all ages, with the low ropes, slides, zip wire, trim trail, swimming and man made beach. There is a smaller adventure playground for the younger children. There is a pub on site and a shop. Bring your wet suit if you have one as the water can be quite cold.
There is an entrance fee to the park and you can stay all day. Paid extras are the high ropes, zorbing and Kayaking. Have a look at the website for more information.

Pennywell is super and you can expect to spend about half a day here petting the animals, watching the pig racing, riding on rides, miniature golf etc. Great for all ages and animal lovers, depending on the time of year you can hold baby goats, pigs, ducks, groom ponies and feed the animals. There is a cafe here.

This is a lovely zoo, with a wide range of animals to see. A full day out that can be finished with a visit to the sea.

Bantham Beach
Lovely sand beach.
Paid parking and toilets and beach cafe.
Lovely sandy beach with rock pools. Windsurfing and kite surfing is available to hire on the beach. Burgh island is located near Bigbury and you can walk across to the island at low tide. There is a pub, the Pilchard Inn and lovely walks on the island and a luxury Art Deco hotel that was used in the filming of the Agatha Christie film And then there were none. There is a large tractor that can ferry visitors across to the island at high tide.
There is paid parking and toilets.
