Food Scene
On the corner of Calle 3 and Ave. 5. Lots of restaurants in the area (Del Sur is across the street) so this is a good area to go to if you are hungry. I normally don't like stuffed peppers but the one they make is wonderful! Also have sandwiches and a lot of variety. Most seating it outside but most is under cover, but there is a small area inside for seating.

I've loved this restaurant from the time it opened years ago. They have kept the quality high and the food delicious. They started with a very small space and expanded over the years and now have both indoor and outdoor dining. The garden at night is wonderful. Only open in the evening.

Coffee Break
More than coffee. I haven't had the lasagna yet but friends tell me it is wonderful!
Wonderful empanadas, great chicken and steaks. The restaurant started in another location selling only empanadas and was so popular he had to get a larger place and he expanded his menu. Empanadas are still my favorite.

Everyone I've taken there has loved it. Very local, very welcoming, great food at reasonable prices and I love the margaritas. They have some of the best mole sauce over chicken, I love the chicken burritos, the conch is wonderful and so are the fish selections - fish in garlic and butter is one of the favorites. Closed on Thursday

North of town, Buccanos has a great restaurant (not cheap), a pool and lots of areas to sit on the beach and sun plus snorkeling is quite good there. There is a charge per person to get in, but that charge goes toward any food or drink you order. I like going on Sundays the best. There is a wonderful restaurant upstairs (a bit more expensive compared to other Cozumel restaurants) that is open in the evening - need to make a reservation, but this is a real treat and great for a special occasion.

There is a wonderful restaurant upstairs (a bit more expensive compared to other Cozumel restaurants) that is open in the evening - need to make a reservation, but this is a real treat and great for a special occasion.
Parks & Nature
San Gervasio is a Mayan ruin on Cozumel. Very interesting, but I do recommend that you pay for a guide as you will learn a whole lot more if you do.

More than just a beach. There are shows including a swim with dolphin program that is an additional cost. Good restaurants and it's a place to spend the day

Punta Sur Eco Beach Park is the largest ecological reserve in Cozumel. It is near the south tip of Cozumel Island so I'd recommend that you plan to make a day trip of it and stay for a while. Open from 9am to 4pm. Below is only a part of what Expendia has to say about Punta Sur: "This stunning ecological reserve is a diverse natural landscape teeming with bird life, crocodiles, turtles and iguanas. Explore thick mangrove jungles, peaceful wetlands and ancient Mayan ruins. Discover the rich history of local seafarers at the Punta Celerain Lighthouse and navigational museum."

Getting Around
No car repair here,(except for their own cars) but a very good local car rental company with good rates and they are dependable. Family members always rent from them when they visit Cozumel. Some of their cars are not as new and shiny as from other rental companies but they do run...and if you have a problem they are very responsive to fix it or trade out for another car.
