Local Pubs / Tap Bars

I run brightonbeerblog.com which has a helpful map and description of many of Brighton’s pubs and tap bars. Here are some recommended locals…
This is a fantastic local pub with a great vibe run by a lovely couple. It’s one of our faves and so convenient whether starting your night out or just passing the time. Cocktails are their little niche.

Drink craft beers in the brewery they were created in. This place has been hugely popular since it opened, the beers are potent and varied and it’s so close to Campbell Road it can be tagged onto a stroll into town.
UnBarred Brewery

A slightly upmarket pub that offers, arguably, Brighton’s best chicken wings. Personally I think their burgers are better but either way it’s chicken heaven!! 🐔🙏🏼

Food & Cafes

Another of our little local indie cafes. The chap here always plays great music and makes a mean fish finger sandwich. The coronation chicken is worth a go aswell.

Helm ston is kind of a cross between a cafe and health food shop, and a backstreet Brighton secret (shhh) Incredible boxes of multiple ingredients just make this an entirely unique option for food. The drinks menu options just go on forever. Worth a visit!!

Entertainment

Variety of options for fun
Possibly Brighton’s oldest cinema in an iconic building on Preston Circus, now run by Picturehouse. They host a mixture of new releases and one off arty flicks. Worth checking what they have on if you want to pass some time

One of Brighton’s biggest parks and offers green spaces, a lovely Regency Rotunda cafe, rose garden, kids playground, bookable tennis courts, boules pitch, basketball court and more. A wonderful space to have on our doorstep.
