AVVINO comes from the wine term, "Avvinare." The traditional European practice of priming stemware and decanters for proper wine service. Make sure to try the octopus with polenta! The rib eye is a must also….for drinks you cant go wrong with a dirty martini or their old fashioned crafted by Ben (our favorite bartender) behind the bar.

David and his son Matthew, a fourth generation restaurateur, proudly maintain the restaurant’s reputation for fine dining, consistent quality and friendly atmosphere. Another favorite for casual/fine dining to cap off a great night. The strip steak and prime rib are a “can’t miss”. One of the best old fashions in rochester (along with Avvino).
