Lymington is a great little fishing town on the south coast of the New Forest. There is also a Saturday market which is well worth a visit. Plus you can get fish & chips and eat them on the Quay, followed by New Forest Ice Cream too!

The Isle of Wight is just a short ferry ride from Lymington and takes you over to Yarmouth. There are buses over there so you can tour the island and coastal path walks if you want to do some of it on foot!

Outside & Nature

Southbourne Beach is a quieter part of the blue flag beaches in Bournemouth with free parking and amenities nearby. Park on Grand Avenue or surrounding roads and head down to the beach. During peak times there are life guards along with toilets, little kiosks and access to tap water (along between the huts at regular intervals). Enjoy!

We are on the edge of Dorset and very close to the Jurassic Coast here. Many parts of the Dorset stretch are around an hour from here including Lulworth Cove & Durdle Door and are absolutely stunning! Well worth a visit.

Explore the local footpaths from the Lodge, play in the kids play park and stop by one of the local pubs for a drink (which one depends on how far you want to walk!)

Hengisbury Head and Mudeford Quay are a great spot for a picnic, to have a look at some of the most expensive beach huts in the UK and take a walk with views down the coast as far as you can see (weather depending!).

Bournemouth is a great place to visit for the pier, the cinema, eateries, there is a fab indoor crazy golf place called Mr Mulligans and of course more shopping. Don't forget to visit Bournemouth Gardens whilst you're there too!

Weymouth with the historic Portland Bill Lighthouse is a little further afield but a good day out all the same.

The beautiful, historic market town of Wimborne Minster, with its gracious Minster Church , its location on the banks of the rivers Stour and Allen as well as history dating back to pre-Roman times, makes it an interesting and picturesque town to visit.
