This is another public park that has a public swimming pool, many playgrounds, pastures (for kite flying) and covered picnic areas. This is also a hot-spot for rock climbers because there are a lot of trails with some great climbing spots. Also, in the summer time, there is a GIGANTIC sprinkler park that has water toys, water falls, shallow pools and slides that is free to the public.

This is a shopping mall with a large variety of restaurants and stores in a very trendy part of town. There are a few restaurants with outdoor seating that I recommend on a nice day, like the Wild Fork or Stone Horse cafe. In the summer time on every Thursday night there are free music concerts held in the parking lots. Just grab a cooler, picnic blanket or lawn chairs for the free concert and hang with the locals.

My Favorite Spots in Town

This is a local favorite for REAL authentic Mexican food. It has a very humble environment, but if you like REAL Hispanic cuisine, it is my favorite in town. I drive across Tulsa to get food from this place. I recommend their beef burrito.

This is family-owned restaurant and fish market open for over 50 years with National reviews. They have a daily connection with the gulf coast with the freshest fish in town. They also have a (casual) restaurant serving a variety of fish platters. Don't be fooled by the restaurant, the food is amazing. Also, you MUST try the Red Beans and Rice as one of the sides. Your instinct will be to order something else. But you MUST try it! (Trust me. Sometimes, I go there just to pickup that side to go.)

This is my favorite locally owned "white-cloth" steakhouse that we visit for special events, birthdays or anniversaries. It is a little pricey, but the food is 5-star. The chef is very creative and takes pride in his work. The atmosphere is a candle lit room with a fireplace and great for a date night or special event.

This is my FAVORITE steakhouse in town that I visit anytime that I crave comfort food. This is a humble, locally owned steakhouse with a Mediterranean twist to its recipes. Make sure you get a meal that includes their "horderves" where they serve Mediterranean appetizers. You MUST try the tabouli and crackers, which is actually my FAVORITE part of the meal. I never liked tabouli until I had it here.

This is a very interesting restaurant and piano bar hidden in a weird little alley. There is no sign, simply a little golden bull above an inconspicuous alley door that leads into one of Tulsa's interesting and exclusive restaurant. This requires a reservation and it is rather expensive, but it is a real treat. The food is fabulous, but save room to share their giant ice-cream cake which would feed 6 people. Sometimes you can walk in and get a seat at the bar, which is built into the piano. It’s a great date night.

This is one of our favorite date night spots. It is a little shopping center made out of shipping containers stacked into a two-story structure. (Yes, shipping containers.) There are several locally owned restaurants including a creamery on the top floor that has a large variety of homemade ice-cream, gelato and vegan-cream. But my favorite part of this place is eating the ice-cream on the top deck with a view of downtown Tulsa at sundown.
