Very close to my house, you can get there by car, walking or biking. Well kept-up, sandy beach with lifeguards and good swimming, plus canteen for food options. Park has fishing and room to put in canoes or row boats. Small entrance fee.

It is sprawling park along the banks of the Mississippi River, near downtown. Minnehaha Falls is over 50 feet and was made famous by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's poem, "The Song of Hiawatha". It is even worth a visit in the winter, when the falls are frozen.
