Chat N Chill

This beach bar experience on Stocking Island is famous for its conch shack, Sunday pig roasts, and for the friendly stingrays. Our kids love petting the stingrays. They have a fun vibe, beach volleyball, soft sand, picnic tables, and crystal clear water. You cannot bring your own drinks or food. Easily accessed by water taxi. Also easy to get to in private rental boat.

Turtles!

Located a short walk or Kayak from Kestrel (look to your right), this long, sandy beach is famous for its swimming turtles. The properties along the beach are private but you are allowed to walk along the beachfront. Access from the road is marked near the top end of the beach as "Beach Access" (you will walk along a concrete wall next to a private residence). The turtles are located down by the jetties (piers). Please do not feed them.

City/town information

This is a small community where you will find the larger grocery store, Minns Watersports, RBC Bank, liquor stores, straw market, and a few other shops. As you enter the village you will need to keep right and head up the hill as you loop around the lake. Follow the loop to the left at the stop sign to get into the main strip. There is a gas station here as well. The main strip is ONE WAY.

Groceries

Big Ronny is super friendly and helpful. This small grocery store is less than a minute drive from Kestrel Cottage! Just head toward Georgetown and you'll see it in the plaza on the right. You can get most of the essentials here (but they don't see beer/wine/spirits).

Restaurants

Located in February Point this is a little more upscale. On buggy nights they drop the screens so you can still enjoy the outdoor feel. It's a bit more expensive than other places but generally the service is good. It sits poolside and can also be a great place to stop if you are on your way home from Little Exuma and ready for some food.
