My favourite cafe about a 15 min walk or 5 min drive from our place is Merchant & Maker which is in McRae across the road from the lighthouse. This one’s a great walk from our house, if you walk down to the beach, and then turn right until you get to the light house. One of the best bacon and egg rolls you can find on the peninsula!

The Kitchen is another one that you should try, it’s a short drive to Tootgarook and if it’s on a weekend the chef there is normally cooking up a feast (he does awesome bacon and egg rolls in the morning and will often have something in the smoker or grill for lunches). They also have some delicious options for our vegetarian and vegan friends! The beach across the road is great to check out whilst you are there.

The Kitchen, Bistro, Bar and Courtyard
1917 Point Nepean RdThe Kitchen is another one that you should try, it’s a short drive to Tootgarook and if it’s on a weekend the chef there is normally cooking up a feast (he does awesome bacon and egg rolls in the morning and will often have something in the smoker or grill for lunches). They also have some delicious options for our vegetarian and vegan friends! The beach across the road is great to check out whilst you are there.
Last but not least, Hobson (recently renamed) is an awesome cafe for breakfast or lunch! The food here is top notch and the staff are always friendly and accommodating. Great fresh smoothies and the chilli scramble is hard to beat!

Add it to the list for cool place for a sunset drink.

Add it to the list for cool place for a sunset drink.

If you like burgers your going to love this spot. Probably the best burgers I have ever had (I might be a little biased) highly recommend you give them a shot! Make sure you are hungry because they are huge!

Our local fish and chips is bang on! Go and give them a try! Across the road is the Rosebud pier so you can take you chippies up there for a scenic lunch/dinner.

Our favourite winery on the peninsula, you can do a wine tasting here for a very reasonable price and then take your glass and go for a walk through the sculpture garden, some epic pieces of art to find and with the backdrop of Westernport bay it’s pretty special.

Pt. Leo Estate
3649 Frankston - Flinders RdOur favourite winery on the peninsula, you can do a wine tasting here for a very reasonable price and then take your glass and go for a walk through the sculpture garden, some epic pieces of art to find and with the backdrop of Westernport bay it’s pretty special.
This winery has a more relaxed feel great for bringing the kids to with a large open area for them to run around or chill out on the giant pallet swing!

Arthur's Seat is our beautiful backdrop view from our backyard, it's a great place to visit for a walk around the garden's, drive to the top and you'll find easy walks for those that just want to stroll around all the way up to some pretty hard hiking! If you are up for a real challenge you can hike to the top from our front door! (probably a 2h adventure)

Arthur's Seat is our beautiful backdrop view from our backyard, it's a great place to visit for a walk around the garden's, drive to the top and you'll find easy walks for those that just want to stroll around all the way up to some pretty hard hiking! If you are up for a real challenge you can hike to the top from our front door! (probably a 2h adventure)
This is your go to day trip beach spot, it is a bit of a walk down (about 2km) so bring a drink and some food (or even better a full day pack to spend the day down there), but the views from the walk are worth it! Pro tip, look up the tides and try and go on low tide to explore the rock pools at the far end of the beach from where the track spits you out.

Bushrangers Bay Walking TrackThis is your go to day trip beach spot, it is a bit of a walk down (about 2km) so bring a drink and some food (or even better a full day pack to spend the day down there), but the views from the walk are worth it! Pro tip, look up the tides and try and go on low tide to explore the rock pools at the far end of the beach from where the track spits you out.
